Over the past two months, within the confines of the Millbrook kitchen, two men have been taking their time, exploring taste combinations and bringing their passion and talents to play. Conceiving new dishes, a distinctly intriguing approach to evolving the dining experience at the rightly renowned Millbrook inn. The South Devon Good Food Guide Dining Pub of the year.

Dave Gobbett – one of the area’s most exciting young chefs is returning to the Millbrook, along with his partner in cuisine, the buoyant Canadian Iain Dawson; having met and forged their culinary connection at The Hind’s Head (no introduction needed there). Understanding the commitment to excellence that location demanded but not desiring to be slaves to the Michelin, they quest and craft ingredients for the sheer taste sensation provided. Combining, seeking new and innovative ways to surprise and delight diners.

Dave and Iain know how important the Millbrook is to the village and the surrounding areas and are fully committed to their principles of fantastic food and genuinely affordable prices, forging key relationships with the finest local producers to ensure that not only is the provenance traceable to miles, or even yards in some cases, it comes to the Millbrook with the heart and soul of the people who work hard in the fields of Devon and onto the plates for them, as well as the many visitors to this beautiful county, to enjoy.
