Welcome
Nestled between land and sea, at the top on a tranquil tidal creek on the Salcombe estuary, The Millbrook is a hidden haven for those who enjoy good food, great wine and a pint of local ale in front of the fire or by the brook.
The Millbrook has become a South Hams institution, featured in the Michelin and Trencherman’s guides, and whispered about by people who know their food. But at heart, it’s still the same place: dogs by the fire, locals at the bar and a Sunday roast worth driving for.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Millbrook Inn very soon.
Eat with us
After our busiest ever summer and a winter that saw so many of you head our way, we’re taking some time to ease into 2026 and to plot a special return to our roots.
For the next few months, we’ll be open for drinks every day, with the fire lit, the wine list long and the welcome as warm as ever. But the kitchen takes a slower pace, with dining proper only on Sundays.
After a brief hiatus from food, we’ll return on Sunday 26th January with the Sunday lunches we’re known for. From then onwards, they’ll continue weekly, along with a single cosy food offering available daily in the pub. It will change by the week, but you can expect warming chillis, hearty stews and pies full of our Shorthorn beef.
Have a drink
We’re a true country pub in one of the prettiest villages in Devon. The bar is where it all begins. We pour local ales and ciders, gin made just along the coast and a wine list of bottles we love to drink ourselves.
With our cosy fire in winter and bubbling brook in summer, the Millbrook is always worth the journey.
Stay with us
Stay a little longer and make the most of everything South Devon has to offer: beaches and boats, coast paths and, of course, good food right on your doorstep. When the day’s adventures are done, retreat to your own little corner of calm just across the road from the pub.
Our two luxury cottages, Land and Sea, have all the charm you’ve come to expect from The Millbrook. Each features a modern kitchen, generous living space, private garden and two bedrooms.
Hidden away from the hustle and bustle, yet right at the heart of everything that makes this patch of Devon so special.
